WNBA Breakdown : 8/04/17

I figured I’d write an article for this great 5 game slate. There’s a good amount of value, along with some must haves and star players. I’d honestly say this should be one of the best slates of the year! So let’s get into it.

Guards :

Jewell Loyd $6,600 – Loyd is in an excellent spot tonight against Dal, in her last game against them she dropped 27p, 5r and 5a which was good for 43.5 fps. She’s put together 2 very good games which was another game where she added 26p and 5r. Seattle’s offense has really been kicking lately and Loyd is a huge part of that. Sea is a better team when Loyd is scoring and getting teammates involved. With her matchup and past performances she’s near must have territory for me.

Kayla McBride $5,600 –  McBride is another guard in a great spot. As she proved last game she is the heart and soul of this Stars team. She scored 31p and dished out 4a which was good for 41 fps. It looks like the Stars are finally starting to put something together as a team as they beat Con last time out. She’s also close to must have for me because of how important she is to the team. She also has a great matchup against a depleted Wash back court. Based on her last game her ownership may be pretty high.

Odyssey Sims $4,400 – I love the spot Sims is in against Ny. Her price seems fair and she should end up right at the 20-25 fps mark. In her last 2 games she’s played in 29 and 30 minutes. With her starting and getting plenty of minutes she’s an intriguing play.

Bria Hartley $3,600 – Makes for a great gpp play tonight because of her matchup and price tonight. She will be low owned and has a lot of potential. If she starts she will get a good chunk of minutes against a poor defensive team. Look for her to keep adding to her past performances.. She will be low owned and close to value at the end of the night.

Forwards :

Breanna Stewart $8,300 – Stewart is a must have for me. She has a great matchup against a poor Dal front court. She put up 51 fps in her last matchup against them and I expect the same from her again. She will be high owned, but that’s okay she’s a safe cash game play.

Emma Meesseman $7,300 – With Edd side lined with an injury Meeseman becomes a great play. Last time when Edd was out Meesseman stepped into her role on the team. Including 50.9 and 48 fps outings. SA plays the front court better than you would expect, but at her salary she is in a good spot. She will most likely be on higher end of ownership, but it’ll be worth it.

Jessica Breland $6,000 – I’m mentioning Breland because of her previous game against Ind, she went for 22p and 9r which was good for 37 fps. I’m not sure if Dupree will be playing, but it shouldn’t matter honestly. Breland should have her way down low on the way to a good day. Her salary is a bit high for me, but she’s a safe cash game option.
