WNBA Breakdown : 7/30/2017

After a disappointing Friday slate because of the cancellation of Con/Wash, I was able to cash on the slate  with 5/7 players. Which is cool but it could of been a great night for me if that Con/Wash game didn’t get cancelled. But, shit happens and now we’re onto Sunday’s 4 game slate. Today should be a good day with all games staying relatively close.

Games

Dal @ LA

Ny @ Chi

Sa @ Pho

Sea @ Min

Guards

Dianna Taurasi $6,400 – I (and everyone else) thought that Taurasi was a lock last time out and she came out and scored only 16 fps. Good news is she was owned 80% in cash games. She’s in another good spot tonight though, SA doesn’t have a player that will be able to lock her down. SA is not a good team, but Pho is missing a key player in Brittney Griner and this means Pho will continue to rely on Taurasi. I expect this game to stay relatively close which means Taurasi will get plenty of chances to bounce back from the last game and pay off her price tag.

Kelsey Plum $4,300 – Plum is in a pretty good spot against Pho tonight. She’s kind of a risky play though due to her playing time. Her minutes are inconsistent, but when she’s on the court she produces. Pho has been pretty good against guards this year, but have struggled as of late. I think a lot of it has to do with Griner being out. So I feel confident taking a risk on Plum tonight just know she is more of a GPP play.

Odyssey Sims $3,000 – Sims is another risky play for tonight, but she will provide great salary relief for your line. If Carson sits out tonight Sims becomes a must have. In the last two games without her Carson has taken her minutes and scored a season high   33 fps in her last game. To add onto that in both games against Dal this year Carson hasn’t scored below 21 fps. Keep an eye out to make sure she’s starting and if she is she’s a must have.

Forwards

Candace Parker $8,300 – If you’re looking for your cash game plug Parker is your player. First off in her last 5 games her lowest fps total is 38.8, second she’s coming off the WNBA’s 6th triple-double in league history and lastly she has a great matchup against Dal weak front court. She’s a must have to me.

Sylvia Fowles $7,500 – Another article and another time I’m writing about Fowles. I don’t understand why her price hasn’t gone up, but I’m going to take advantage of it! In her last game she scored 29p and 8r, which was good for 49.6 fps. Fowles is a double-double threat every time she’s on the floor and I expect the same today. In her last game against Sea Fowles went off for 26p and 7r which was good for 48 fps. I’d try to find a way to get her line if you can.

Isabelle Harrison $5,400 – Harrison is in a good spot today because of the Griner injury. Chicago’s Stefanie Dolson went off for 44 fps against Pho last game. With Harrison’s minutes being pretty steady lately and her price right, I think she’s in a good spot to hit value.

Jantel Lavender $3,500 – When Lavender gets minutes she produces. In her last 2 games she’s played 25+ minutes and she’s scored more than 23 fps. At her price she allows great salary relief and she has a good matchup with a weak Dal front court. If you trust her recent trend of minutes Lavender could bring some serious upside to your lineup tonight.
