MLB Plays of the Day 7/18/17

Happy Tuesday everybody! Hopefully everybody survived what was a bad night of MLB DFS last night! DFS_JDM here to get you back on track for this very interesting 15 game MLB slate today. Today i will be doing something a little different than normal, i will be listing off my Top 3 plays in each position and also 6 Outfielders that could help you win some cash tonight. Well lets jump into it, shall we?!

PITCHERS:

Clayton Kershaw (12,700) – Kershaw is by far the top pitching arm tonight its a matter of fact if he can afford him tonight because he’s not cheap! Kershaw owns a 31.4 K% and an incredible 4.4 BB%. He is obviously the biggest favorite on the board tonight according to Vegas -250. Only negative thing i could say is he does get a negative park shift.

Mike Clevinger (8,500) – Clevinger is my 2nd pitching arm tonight and he allows you too save some salary to get some premium bats. He does get a positive ballpark shift pitching in San Francisco. He owns a 13% HR/FB which is one of the lowest on the slates tonight. Also a 27.5 K% BUT the alarming thing is his BB% OF 12.9%. He is a -120 favorite tonight according to Vegas.

Chris Smith (6,300) – Smith is strictly a punt option for me tonight which allows you to basically get any bat you want. This is his 2nd major league start so not too much data to go off of but the Rays do have the 4th highest K% vs RHP and Smith does get to pitch in a pitchers friendly park.

CATCHERS:

Gary Sanchez – Top option at Catcher tonight against Bartolo Colon. .226 ISO/.359 wOBA/36.% HC%. Yankees also have one of the highest IRT of 5.34.

James McCann – Mashes LHP and he faces a pretty bad one tonight in Wood. .457 ISO/.452wOBA/43.4% HC%/ 47.2 FB%. Tigers have a IRT of 5.19.

Hector Sanchez – Dude is red hot homering in 3 straight games and its in Coors! .300 ISO/.292wOBA/31.3 HC%.

FIRST BASE:

Cody Bellinger – Bellinger gets a nice park shift in his favor facing RHP Miguel Gonzalez who isn’t good. .337 ISO/.397 wOBA/45.9 HC%.

Matt Holiday – Gets to face Bartolo Colon. .259 ISO/.360wOBA/36.9 FB%/36.3 HC%.

Miguel Cabrera – Hasn’t been himself this year. But i like him tonight against LHP Travis Wood. .123 ISO/.386 wOBA/ 48.7 HC%.

SECOND BASE:

Starlin Castro – Facing Bartolo Colon. Just get your Yankees stack in! .196 ISO/.362wOBA/32.9 HC%.

Ian Kinsler – He had a game last night and i see that continuing tonight against LHP Travis Wood. .233 ISO/.320wOBA/37.7 HC%.

Daniel Murphy – He’s hot and he absolutely kills RHP. .245 ISO/.392wOBA/36.3 HC%.

THIRD BASE:

Freddie Freeman – Lackey gives up a lot of Home-runs. He’s been on fire since coming back from the DL. .394 ISO/.457wOBA/39.7 HC%.

Kris Bryant – Destroys LHP, nice park to hit in. .306 ISO/.428wOBA/31.3HC%.

Nick Castellanos – Cheap on FD. Has one of the hardest contact rates in the game at 48.6%. .280 ISO/.340wOBA.

SHORTSTOP:

Didi Gregorius – Again another Yankees position player. .209 ISO/.347wOBA.

Corey Seager – Nice park shift facing RHP Miguel Gonzalez. .182 ISO/.351wOBA/ 47.8 HC%.

Stephen Drew – Punt option tonight. Make sure he’s starting. .118 ISO/.280wOBA/31.0 HC%.
