WNBA Breakdown 5/20/17

Last night was a bummer because I missed the big double up cash line by 1.8 points. I ended up switching my line up from my original research and didn’t cash. Tonight I’m fully in on all these plays and looking to cash!

CONN (0-1) @ IND (0-2)
MIN (2-0) @ DAL (1-0)

F Maya Moore, MIN $8,500 – Moore is the most expensive player on the slate at $8,500 and that price seems high to me. In her first two games she’s scored 37.2 and 32.4 fps. . Because of her high price for 5x value she would need to score 42.5 fps. While that is possible she’s taken a back seat as far as scoring comes so far this year and instead she’s filling the stat line. She’s the best played on the slate and is a must have for me. I think she gets 35-40 fps tonight.

F Sylvia Fowles, MIN $8,000 – It’s going to come down to either Fowles and Moore for this slate. While it is possible to go both I think you’re using too much of your salary if you do that. Fowles came back down to earth in her last game with only 25.4 fps, after her 50 fps outburst in her first game. Fowles’ price is too high for me and in this case I’d rather take Moore. Also, Dal did a good job of shutting down Griner in their first game and I think they can do that to Fowles. I’m looking for 25-30 fps from her.

G Kaela Davis, DAL $6,800 – Davis had a great first WNBA game scoring 20p, grabbing 4r, dishing out 4a and that was good for 32.8 fps. I like her in this spot because Min gives up points to guards ( 20 to Sugar Robinson and 16 to Brittany Boyd). Davis is a natural scorer who should be able to put some points on the board tonight. Her price is a little high as she’s the most expensive guard on the slate, but she’s in a good spot and I’m not too high on other options at guard. Look for 30-35 fps from Davis tonight.

Mid Tier

G Briann January, IND $5,100 – January screwed me over on the Wednesday slate and here I am recommending her again but with some caution.  The other guard for IND Johnson, is still priced way too high for me at $6,400. I feel like January’s price makes it easier to fir her into a line. Also I think this game will be closer than the MIN/DAL game so I want some action. Look for January to put last games performance behind her and score 20-25 fps tonight.

G Courtney WIlliams, CON $4,700 – It has been announced that Jasmine Thomas will be missing the game and confirmed on her twitter account. This will be a spot to get Williams more minutes and shot opportunities. She will be in every one of my lines and is a must play imo. I think she’ll get 20-25 fps and hopefully more tonight.

F Jonquel Jones, CON $5,700 – Jones had a huge first game recording 20r, but what is going unnoticed is the fact that she shot the ball 11 times and while she recorded 38 fps it could have been even more if 3-4 of those shots fell. I think a lot of people will be on her because of her last game, but again with Thomas out for Con that leaves more opportunity for other players. I’m looking for 22-27 fps from Jones tonight.

F Morgan Tuck, CON $5,100 – Tuck played 38 minutes in her first game and I don’t see that changing tonight with Thomas out. She also scored 21 points and has a good matchup with a poor IND defense. I like Tuck’s price because of her minutes and opportunity.

F Candice Dupree, IND $4,900 – Dupree is a very reliable player logging 35 and 28 minutes in her first two games. She also gets up quite a few shots for IND 13 and 12 in her first two games. Her price seems fair and you can expect her to be around value tonight. I’m looking for 20-25 fps from Dupree tonight.

F Courtney Paris, DAL $3,600 – Paris is my lone value play for today. Although she only scored 9.4 fps in her first game she has career averages of 7.7p and 8r. She is 6’4″ and 250 pounds and should be able to dominate the paint tonight for DAL. I’m looking for 12-17 fps from her tonight.
