Value Vault: MLB 4/4/17

Looking for some value for this lovely Tuesday night slate? Look no further, the Value Vault has you covered!

Adrian Gonzalez $2,800 LOS 1B – Gonzo is in a good spot tonight because of his matchup with Padres pitcher Clayton Richard. He’s batting 10/17 for a .588 avg, .611 OBP, .588 SLG and 1.119 OPS. For $2,800 Gonzo comes in as a nice discount value play and should be low owned tonight with some big sluggers on the slate at 1B position.

Evan Longoria $3,200 TAM 3B – Longo went yard on opening day and if I had to put money on someone going yard today it would be him. He has an excellent match up against CC Sabathia. He’s 29/72 with 16 XBH, 7 HRs, 16 RBIs and 13 BB. He has a .403 avg, .500 OBP, .819 SLG and 1.319 OPS. Longo is a lock for me on this main slate, he looks like he is going to pick up where he left off last year where he had 36 HRs and 98 RBIs.

Hunter Pence $2,500 SFG OF  – Pence has a great matchup with Dbacks starter Patrick Corbin. He has Corbin’s number so far in in their career head to head. Pence has an avg of .480, OBP .536, SLG 1.160 and OPS 1.696. He also has 4 HR’s off Corbin, if I had to pick another player to hit a HR today, Pence would be that guy. The Giants are playing in a hitters park at the Dbacks today, which gives Pence an even bigger boost. The best part is his salary at $2,500 and that he hits in the middle of the order for a potent Giants offense where every day he has a good chance of driving in runs.
