Wow that All-star break seemed to take forever! Luckily we had @DFSManu to keep the Forecast Fam busy with NHL. But, we’re back in action tonight with a healthy 6 game slate. Over the break there were some interesting trades, most notably Cousins to the Pelicans, Lou Will to the Rockets, Noel to the Mavs and Serge Ibaka to the Raptors. Let’s check out some value for tonight.
1.Kentavious Caldwell-Pope $4,900- At first glance I know you’re thinking there’s no way I can play him, he’s too inconsistent. But, his price tag has fallen quite a bit as of late which makes him a great value option tonight. This is a guy who plays over 30 minutes every night. His legs will be well rested coming out of the ASB in what should be a competitive game with the Hornets. He only needs 25 FD points to hit value.
2.E’Twaun Moore $3,600- With Tyreke Evans and Buddy Heild getting traded to Sacramento that opens the door for Moore to step into the starting line up and get some big minutes. Moore has a nice match-up with the Rocket’s tonight and his $3,600 price tag means he only needs 18 FD points to hit value.
3. Aaron Gordon $4,500- It’s been really hard playing Gordon this year. Between his struggles on the court and playing time I haven’t played him as of late. But, Ibaka getting traded to the Raptor’s it’s expected Gordon slides into the PF spot. This will hopefully allow him to get some more easy points and rebounds while on the court in his more natural position. He only needs 22.5 FD points to hit value.
4. Willie Cauley-Stein $3,800- With Cousins gone everyone expects WCS to slide into the starting role. Although I don’t expect this game to stay close, I do expect the Kings to move into more of a development type of team. This will give the young guys more experience and minutes. Allowing management to see what their needs are for next year. At $3,800 WCS only needs 19 FD points to hit value.
5.Jusuf Nurkic $3,700- After being traded to Portland Nurkic had a great first game tallying 21 minutes and 26.9 FD points. They expect for him to compete for time with Ed Davis and Myers Leonard. He has a juicy matchup with Orlando’s weak defensive front court and I expect him to crush value. At $3,700 he only needs 18.5 FD points to hit value.
6. Tyreke Evans $4,500- Speaking of Evan’s he’s landing in the value article because he’s one of the only player’s I trust on the Kings tonight along with WCS. The Kings will need to score and that’s what Evans does best. Look for him to put some points up in this high paced matchup with the Nuggets. He only needs 22.5 FD points to hit value.
