Hey all you DFS players, have you been wanting to learn all about the fastest growing DFS sport? Well, look no further. This article can help anybody who plays DFS. Everyday, I, Armaan Kaler (@DFSManu) will be providing the best NHL plays of the night in a user- friendly format. This article will include my top cash game play, top cash game fade, top cash game stack, and top GPP (low owned) stack. We will be using FanDuel pricing as reference. Now that we got all of that out of the way, I think we should get into the picks.
TOP CASH GAME PLAY = AUSTON MATTHEWS, C, ($7,200):
Matthews is one of the top plays on almost any given night. The youngster is fresh off a 2 goal performance at home just last night.. And, if you know anything about Matthews, is that when he gets hot, he cannot be stopped. In fact, each time he has scored 2+ goals in a game, he has followed it up with atleast 1 point in the next. But, if that’s not enough to convince you, let’s look at the numbers. After their 14 game win streak, the Columbus Blue Jackets have actually been very lackluster, going 8-11-1 since, allowing 3.15 GPG. This, plus the fact that Brandon Dubinsky (one of the leagues best defensive centers) will be covering Toronto’s first line, makes Matthews my cash game lock of the night. Oh, and did I mention that this game has a 6.0 Over/Under?
BOLD CASH GAME FADE =
SAN JOSE SHARKS OFFENSE:
Personally, I think the Sharks offense is overrated in this spot. To start with, both the Sharks and the Panthers are very defensively sound teams, with neither allowing more than 2.75 GPG over the course of the season. Which, in turn, should equate to this game turning into a defensive battle. Secondly, the Panthers are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games vs the Sharks. Also, they are finally starting to get healthy again, with the much-needed return of superstars Alexsander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau. ADVICE: just take Brent Burns and call it a day.
