NBA Fanduel Advice For Friday, February 3rd

Well last night was an epic night for myself as I won 10X my money and almost took down every single tournament I was in. Had I gone Dedmon over McGee at center I would have won a few of those tournaments. Crazy how crucial 6 fanduel points can mean sometimes. Tim Hardaway was a huge contributor for me, who was also written in a value play article here on Fantasy Forecast yesterday. Anways, it looks like the Pacers, Bucks and even the Kings will be the teams I’m building my lineups around tonight so let me break down each position for you with guys I really like. Any questions, I am on twitter @MonstarsDFS.

Point Guard

Stud: Isaiah Thomas vs LAL $10500

Westbrook is always elite but I’m not a huge fan of his matchup tonight. I’d rather dabble with Thomas tonight who has been on absolute fire over the last few games. There is some blowout concern in this game but the Lakers kept it close in Washington last night. If they can do the same tonight Thomas should feast.

Mid-tier: Jeff Teague @ BKN $7600

Cash game lock of the day here. Teague gets a soft matchup against the Nets who are absolutely terrible. He’s the first guy I would plug into my lineup for tonight.

Value Play: Darren Collison vs PHO $4800

Collison has posted 3 straight duds which has kept his price below 5k. However, Garrett Temple is OUT tonight so Collison should see a bump in usage. He’s an excellent punt at PG tonight if you want to pay up somewhere else.

Shooting Guard

Stud: Giannis Antetokounmpo @ DEN $10900

The Greek Freak put up an absolute dud last game but Utah is one of the best defensive teams in the league. Tonight Giannis gets a huge boost in pace against the Nuggets which creates more opportunities for him to stuff the stat sheet. Despite his price, I think you need him in your lineups tonight.

Mid-tier: Dwayne Wade @ HOU $7800

Wade is too expensive for me in cash tonight but he should still be considered. He will most likely have James Harden covering him and Harden gave up a career high 33 points to Tim Hardaway Jr last night. He will definitely be a in a few of my gpp lines tonight.

Value Play: Norman Powell @ ORL $5100

If Derozan is out again tonight, Powell makes for a safe cash play at this price. You will want to pay attention to Derozan news before you roster Powell however.

Small Forward

Stud: Jimmy Butler @ HOU $9400

A lot of people will be on Paul George tonight but I’d rather pay the extra $700 and roll with Butler against Houston if you’re spending up at the SF position tonight. George is fine if you absolutely NEED to save the money.

Mid-tier: Jae Crowder $6500

Crowder has been playing excellent lately and his price has risen because of it. He is priced fairly but not over priced and should be able to at least hit is value tonight.

Value Play: Matt Barnes vs PHO $3700

Matt Barnes and cash game lock should never be in the same sentence but here I go…. I am locking Barnes into my cash lineup tonight. He will start for the Kings again tonight and should see around 30 minutes. Hopefully he doesn’t burn me, but I fully expect him to exceed his value tonight.

Power Forward

Stud: Jabari Parker @ DEN $7400

Usually when the Bucks play a fast paced game Parker is the main beneficiary. I think he is underpriced for tonight as well.

Mid-tier: Thad Young @ BKN $5500

Young is about as safe as they come tonight in cash against Brooklyn. He doesn’t have huge gpp upside but expect him to score around his value tonight.

Value Play: Thon Maker @ DEN $3700

Please don’t roster him in cash tonight, I don’t really like any value plays at PF tonight but the upside is there especially with the Bucks down a big man. He’ll come off the bench but he could see some decent run again tonight.

Center

Stud: DeMarcus Cousins vs PHO $11300

I can’t afford him in cash with how I’m constructing my lineups tonight but Boogie is going to eat tonight. If you have money for him fire him up. He has a crazy high ceiling tonight against the Suns and will definitely be in a few tournament lineups for myself.

Mid-tier(s): Myles Turner @ BKN $6700 & Clint Capela $4900

Both are excellent plays tonight. I think Turner will end up being chalk at center but if you’re feeling contrarian Capela should hold his own.

Value Play: John Henson @ DEN $3500

As a Bucks fan, Henson is honestly terrible but since he’s starting he has potential to exceed his value. His floor is really low so you’re gambling on him in cash but he does have decent upside tonight if the minutes are there.

Hopefully this article can help you out a little bit tonight and as always, Good Luck!
