Tonight we have a 4 game slate with Russ Westbrook as the lone superstar. Value for 4 game slates can be hard to find and can be chalky but, I’m confident in these picks.
Jameer Nelson $3,900– Emmanuel Mudiay has been ruled out for tonight. This gives Nelson a juicy match-up with the Sun’s and a lot of minutes to hit value. While Nelson clearly isn’t the player he used to be he’s been playing about 30 minutes a night since Mudiay has been injured lately. This could be a chalky play tonight in order to get some pay up at other positions.
Seth Curry $4,100– It’s expected that Deron Williams, Wes Matthews and Dirk will be out tonight for the Mavs. If that’s the case look for Curry to get lots of minutes and more shot opportunities. The Mavs starting back court could consist of Pierre Jackson ( on his second 10 day contract) and Curry. I don’t think the Mavs keep it close tonight against the Thunder but, with the Mavs being shorthanded Curry will play a lot. In his last 7 games he’s scored double digits 6 times, which is a good sign considering he’s a scorer and that’s how he’ll get majority of his FD points.
Shabazz Muhammad $3,800– This is my favorite value play tonight. The T-wolves are at home against the Pacers. This game should be high scoring, fast paced and not much defense so I recommend getting some exposure to this game. Muhammad has been trending up for the T-wolves the last couple games where he’s had 17 or more FD points in 3/4 of his last games.
Derrick Favors $4,700– Favors has a great match-up tonight with the Lakers front court. I know what you’re thinking and trust me I’m skeptical too. I’ve been burned by Favors a couple times this year but, his stats are showing he might turn the corner soon. In his last 10 games Favors has scored over 20 FD points in 8 of those games. He’s also playing around 25-28 minutes a game and if he get’s that tonight I’m telling you he hits value. The spread is -13 favored towards the Jazz so there is some blowout risk here.
Boris Diaw $3,600– Like I said to start the article on a 4 game slate there’s lots of chalk, so I wanted to make sure to have a dark horse value play for tonight. Diaw is just that guy, he can do a lot score, pass and rebound and for $3,600 with about 20 minutes he can hit value. He plays around 15-20 minutes a night but, I think he gets more tonight if the Jazz are up.
