Yesterday was an historic night and while I was pissed off the Cubs won, I felt honored to be able to watch the greatest baseball game ever played. Anyone that says baseball is a boring sport needs to think twice about their opinion. Anyways, there are lots of value plays I like in tournaments tonight for the NBA slate on fanduel, and I currently have $1200 left over in my lineup because I’d rather role with some of these guys than pay up. Any questions can be asked on twitter @MonstarsDFS.
Kris Dunn vs DEN $4900
Dunn got his first career start in the NBA the other night and turned in a solid 31 FD points for owners. The game was a blowout so Dunn didn’t get a full workload but expect him to play more than 29 minutes tonight and produce similar numbers. Denver has struggled against backcourts so far this season and for only $4900, Dunn is a great value play.
Matthew Dellavedova vs IND $4800
For $100 more, Dunn is the safer option at PG tonight. However, Dunn will likely be high owned making Delly a solid GPP target tonight. He’ll be low owned but has consistently seen 30ish minutes per game while being productive for a young Bucks team. Consider him a GPP only play, but he’s a solid punt if you need to get some of the studs in your lines tonight.
Klay Thompson vs OKC $5700
It’s crazy that Thompson is considered a value play but he’s only priced at $5700 right now. He’s off to a terrible start behind the arc but that is likely to change sooner rather than later. I don’t want to miss the night he goes off for 40 so I will have some exposure to him again tonight and hope he can wear off the rust.
Zach LaVine vs DEN $6000
Other than the Greek Freak, all other SG’s are fairly cheap tonight. LaVine is off to a good start this season and as I mentioned before, Denver has struggled against backcourts so far this season. Look for LaVine to continue to score 20+ again tonight.
Danilo Gallinari @ MIN $6700
With no Will Barton or Gary Harris tonight, I am locking Gallinari in all of my tournaments tonight. Someone has to pick up the slack and Gallinari is capable of scoring plenty of points. He’s played 35+ minutes in every game so far this season and should do so again tonight.
Tony Snell vs IND $3800
Snell is a boom or bust player because his track record has indicated he doesn’t contribute enough offensively. However, he is coming off of a double double (13/10) and played 33 minutes in the Bucks last game. Jason Kidd indicated he wants to get Snell more involved and Snell came through last game. He’s a risky punt but could pay off in tournaments if he has another productive game.
Amir Johnson @ CLE $4000
Injuries to Jae Crowder and Al Horford have opened the doors up for some Celtics reserves to play more minutes. Last night Johnson played 30 minutes and came through with 23 points and 6 rebs. He surprisingly went 4/4 on 3 pointers too. He should see a good workload again tonight making him a good punt for only 4k.
Tyler Zeller @ CLE $3800
Same as Johnson, Zeller will see more minutes than usual and is starting at Center for the Celtics while Al Horford is out. He only scored 17 FD points last night but since he is starting and should see 25-30 minutes again tonight, he makes for a nice GPP play at Center if you don’t pay up for Cousins at the position tonight.
Good Luck to everyone and hopefully these value plays can help you out in your GPP lines tonight if you need a punt or two to pay up for some of the big boys.
