NBA GPP Advice for Halloween Monday

Happy Halloween everybody. Hopefully you’re not one of those anti-fun people who don’t celebrate because it’s “worshipping the devil.” Tonight we have a small four game slate and I will provide some guys I like in tournaments tonight. Any NBA questions you have tonight I’m on twitter @MonstarsDFS.

Point Guard

Jeremy Lin vs CHI $6500

Linsanity is averaging 35 fanduel points through the first three games this season and is reasonably priced as well. Lin has been very productive so far this season getting stats in several categories and is also seeing 30-35 minutes every game. He’s matched up against Rajon Rondo tonight who doesn’t play defense, making Lin a nice play in tournaments tonight.

Chris Paul vs PHO $9300

Paul gets a fast paced game tonight against a young Phoenix Suns team and should provide good stats all across the board tonight. I’m expecting the veteran point guard to have around 20-10 tonight and to contribute some steals and rebounds as well. With people focusing on values such as Lawson, Schroder and Lin tonight, I think CP3 makes for a sneaky good tournament option.

Shooting Guard

DeMar DeRozan vs DEN $7900

At this price, DeRozan has exceeded his value in both games so far this year. He’s playing heavy minutes and scoring at will so far to start the season. The Nuggets have given up over 100 points in both games so far this season and have yet to play an elite shooting guard with DeRozan’s talent. If you want to ride out a hot hand tonight, DeRozan is your guy.

Will Barton @ TOR $5300

On the other side of this game is Will Barton for Denver. Gary Harris is out again and Barton has been logging heavy minutes with Harris out. He’s played 35 and 41 minutes so far this season allowing him to score 29 and 28.7 FD points so far. For his price and heavy minutes, I love Barton again tonight.

Small Forward

T.J. Warren @ LAC $5500

Warren has been really good to start his 2017 campaign with the Suns and has been exceeding value every night with ease. He’s also logging heavy minutes keeping his upside high. Look for that trend to stay the same tonight against the Clippers. I’ll play anyone under 6K that is logging around 40 minutes a game.

Thabo Sefolosha vs SAC $4100

Total GPP play here. Sefolosha has a low floor but can also easily exceed his value like he did in the Hawks first game when we ripped off 38 FD points. He’s a defensive specialist and is capable of racking up steals in bunches which are valuable to FD scoring. He’s cheap and will be low owned tonight. If you need to enter a punt tonight to get some of the higher priced players, Sefolosha isn’t a bad option.

Power Forward

Blake Griffin vs PHO $9000

Blah. Power Forward doesn’t look good tonight and one of my two PF will definitely be Griffin. He’s the most talented at the position tonight and carries the highest ceiling by far. Although it’s a small sample size, the Suns rank third last against power forwards so far this season, allowing 48 FD points per game so far. I love Griffin in all formats tonight.

Trevor Booker vs CHI $5300

If you need a cheap option at the position in tournaments I like Booker tonight. He’s been consistent this year and is averaging 31 FD points so far this season. He has two double doubles in three games so far and if he hits his average again tonight your lineup should be sitting pretty.

Center

DeMarcus Cousins @ ATL $9900

This is pretty obvious but Cousins carries an extremely high ceiling every night. He gets a tougher matchup tonight against Dwight Howard but Boogie is in his prime right now and has 30/20 potential night in and night out. He’s shot at least 14 free throws every game so far this season so points shouldn’t be an issue tonight. He’s an elite GPP option tonight.

Jonas Valanciunas vs DEN $6400

I think a lot of the focus on a value Center tonight will be around Jusuf Nurkic so Valanciunas makes for a sneaky play in tournaments tonight. He’s two for two on double doubles so far this season and has a decent amount of upside again tonight against the Nuggets. Through 3 games Denver is actually ranked first against the Center position but based off of last year that’s a trend that won’t last long.

Hopefully some of these players can help you reach GPP glory tonight. Goodluck!
