Waiver Claims for Week 7

Whatsup DFS community? I was really busy last week and didn’t have anytime to pump out an article (I also missed the first YouTube stream with Forecast, Nova and Clutch). I’ll have a fanduel article either tomorrow or Thursday as well as this one. There are plenty of injuries around the NFL that have opened up playing time for guys that are probably still available for pick up in some leagues, so I want to give you an advantage in your season long leagues! As usual, any questions you might have can be done so on twitter @MonstarsDFS.

Jay Ajayi

RB Miami Dolphins

Chances are he was scooped up when Arian Foster got hurt. I conveniently dropped him from one of my teams after week 2 and couldn’t get him back. However, Foster “returned” last week so theres a slight chance owners dropped him and he’s available for pick up. Despite Foster’s return, Ajayi dominated the touches last week against Pittsburgh and took advantage of his 25 touches; rushing for 205 yards and 2 tds compared to Foster’s 3 touches for 3 yards. In auction I’d bid 10% of your budget on him, 20% if you are absolutely desperate for a RB this week.

Ty Montgomery

WR Green Bay Packers

I guarantee you Montgomery is available in your season long formats. He had a breakout game on Sunday against the Cowboys hauling in 10 catches for 98 yards. Head coach Mike McCarthy stated this morning that they need to continue to get him the ball. Runningback Eddy Lacy most likely won’t play Thursday night either, meaning Montgomery will receive some more handoffs as well. He has a large amount of upside against the Bears, and should be a top priority if you have a WR on a bye this week. In auction I’d bid 10% of your budget for him. I have $64 left and I bid 1/3 of that for him this week because my league is all Packers fans. (Hopefully nobody in my league reads this)

Cameron Meredith

WR Chicago Bears

Another WR that is likely available (32% owned on ESPN) is Bears WR Cameron Meredith. He is emerging as Brian Hoyer’s favorite weapon and has had back to back monster weeks in PPR formats. In the last two weeks, Meredith has gone for 20 catches, 243 yards and a score. He faces a Packers secondary Thursday night that is banged up beyond belief and has a chance to repeat his strong performances. In auction I’d bid 10% for Meredith.

Jacquizz Rodgers

RB Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jacquizz is only 30% owned and has a great matchup against a Niners defense that got ran all over last Sunday. Doug Martin has yet to practice so I’m assuming Rodgers is in line for another start this week. He also has PPR upside out of the backfield. He’s worth a look if you need to pick up a RB this week, and I have him ranked as a solid RB2 this Sunday. In auction, I’d bid anywhere from 5-10% for him and double that if you need a starter for this week.

Kenny Britt

WR LA Rams

Britt is only 13% owned but has emerged as the Rams #1 receiver this season. His upside is limited with Case Keenum under center, but he’s definitely worth a look if you need a WR this week and you can’t get Montgomery or Meredith. Britt is actually ranked as the 16th best WR right now. I doubt he’ll finish that high, but he should be put on your radar nonetheless. Auction wise I think 10-15% is too high for Britt, but that’s what the going rate will be for him if you need a WR this week.

Hunter Henry

TE San Diego Chargers

It’s safe to say that even with Antonio Gates still around Henry has emerged as a solid asset to Phillip Rivers. If Gates is re injured, Henry becomes a top 5 TE in my honest opinion. He’s 50% owned on ESPN and should be worth a look if you need a TE this week. He’s scored 3 straight weeks, and has another great chance to score this week against a Falcons secondary that isn’t very strong. I’d bid 5% for him.

Jack Doyle

TE Indianapolis Colts

There is a good chance Dwayne Allen misses at least one week making Doyle an intriguing pick up this week. I personally will be going for him this week since Jordan Reed is questionable and Jason Witten is on a bye for me. I also have Andrew Luck so I’m seeking the combo this Sunday against the Titans. If Allen sits, Doyle should seek at least 5 targets from Andrew Luck, making him a low end TE1 this week. I’m bidding around 5% for him. Hopefully Jordan Reed can go but if not, I have faith in Doyle to get me a respectable amount of points for a TE.

Baltimore Ravens Defense

@ New York Jets

The Baltimore Defense is 50% owned on ESPN but I like them if they are available and your defense is on a bye this week. They face the Jets who are ranked dead last in offense through 6 weeks so far. Geno Smith entered the game last night and immediately threw a pick. Regardless of who plays QB for the Jets on Sunday Baltimore has high turnover upside.

Good Luck in waivers tomorrow morning and shout me out if one of these guys helps you win this week!
