MLB Plays of the Day – April 25th

For the first time this season, we are partnering with DFS Monstars (@MonstarsDFS), formerly known as @DFS_MKE, to bring you a collective article with our MLB plays of the day. All three of us broke down the slate and took 3 positions to break down individually and figure out who the top plays are and who the value plays are for tonight.

Here are your MLB Plays of the Day for Monday, April 25th, starting with the top plays:

  • Josh Harrison
    • Over/Under of the PIT/COL game is 12
    • 6 multi-hit games over his last 1o
  • Jordy Mercer
    • 10 hits in his last 5 games with 1 HR and 3 RBIs
    • Over/Under is 12
  • Carlos Gonzalez
    • Over/Under is 12
    • Price has dropped a bit to $4,000 and he’s batting 25-73 from the plate with 4 HR, 12 RBIs and 14 runs this season.
Ben J. (@DFS_JB) – P, 1B, OF
  • Madison Bumgarner / Noah Syndergaard
    • Bumgarner has a 2.7 ERA at home, 3.06 ERA vs SDP over last 3 seasons. SDP are top 5 team in K’s this season, should have an easier time getting the win for 12 points
    • Syndergaard is on an absolute tear to start the season, faces the Reds who are batting .244 as a team this season.
  • Chris Davis
    • Owns a .426 wOBA vs right-handed pitchers and has a lifetime average of .357 with 2 HR and 6 RBIs against Chris Archer
  • Mookie Betts
    • Career .750 batting average against Julio Teheran and currently one of the hottest players in the MLB
Joe M. (DFS_JB) – C, 3B, OF
  • Buster Posey
    • Career .800 Batting average (4-5) against Pomeranz with 2 HR, 3 RBIs
  • Manny Machado
    • Owns a career .409 avg and .488 OBP against Chris Archer, who has been a massive disappointment this season.
  • Nelson Cruz
    • 4 straight games over 10 Fanduel points
    • .348 batting average and .444 OBP in his career against Doug Fister with 1 HR, 2 doubles and 3 RBIs

  • Brian Dozier
    • .500 career batting average, .550 OBP, 1.056 Slug%,  2 HR, 2 BB over his career vs Danny Salazar
  • Francisco Lindor
    • Last 7 games: .385 batting average, .484 on-base percentage, .462 slugging percentage
  • Ian Desmond
    • cathing fire with 3 games over 15 FD points over his last 4, with two of the going for over 30 points.
    • Eovaldi has surrendered 21 hits in 17 IP this season with an ERA of 7.35

  • Raisel Iglesias
    • 23 IP with 22 K and a 2.91 ERA on the season, Mets
    • Mets are top 10 in the league in Strikeouts and may be without Yoenis Cespedes tonight
    • Citi Field is a very pitcher-friendly park

    • .357 batting average and .438 On-base percentage against Tommy Milone, batting in the heart of the order
  • Jeff Franceour
    • .391 career batting average against Rick Porcello with 2 home runs

  • Derek Norris
    • Surprising .348 career batting average and .375 OBP against Madison Bumgarner with one home run and 5 RBIs over a total of 23 at-bats
  • Yunel Escobar
    • Snapped out of a slump going 3-12 with a HR over the weekend
    • batting leadoff in potent Angels’ lineup
    • 2-4 lifetime against Ian Kennedy with 1 R, 1 RBI and 4 walks

  • Nick Markakis
    • Two straight games with 12 FD points
    • Batting above .300 with 14 RBIs and 10 BB
    • Career .407 hitter against Rick Porcello with a .452 on-base percentage and .556 slugging percentage
